I am about to turn 33. I just married a fantastic guy and have a generally good and happy life. But I have been very lazy for about a year now and am very dissatisfied with my professional and personal progress. Often I feel like I am not good at anything and it makes me less likely to try at anything. Like recently I went on a trip and did not even really try to take good photos. Often I go to work and do little to nothing. I waste lots of time and have started watching tv. I have gained weight and am not in good physical shape. Sometimes I am bitchy or less interested in other people than I feel I should be. I really would like to turn this around and be a good productive person who has a lot of fun and lives life to the fullest. I am unsure about what avenues I should pursue and how to try hard and focus on things I could be good at. I feel I am too old to waste time on things I am not good at. I would appreciate any advice - especially from people who have felt like this before and have overcome it.

I work in the receiving department for a very large orgnization. I have an Associate’s degree in Business and would like to continue for a Bachelor’s degree, but my employer won’t pay for it unless I put together a sort of portfolio and something that explains my departments need for my having a 4 year degree. I work a lot with Procurement in the part of making sure goods are received appropriatly and therefore can be paid. I also work with accounting in regards to the receipt of goods. We have a group of about 100 people and I work in the main nerve of it all. The office I work in is like the brain of the whole operation. What are some good ways to express my need of a 4 year degree for my group? Especially, when my co-worker has just a 2 year degree also.
